Spill the News

Well I guess it is about time I spilt the news properly, actually wrote it down. It is official, I am leaving the station at the end of this term after what will by then have been 3 and a 1/4 years of living and working with two lovely families out here in Western QLD. A new govie has been found for next year and she will be visiting us later in the term. I hope she enjoys it here as much as I have.

For me it is time for a new chapter. Time to change the long distance relationship with Mr Sparky that relies on facebook, spasmodic phone calls and seeing each other around once a month into a partnership that involves seeing each other every day and spending time together working towards our future, moving forward.

So around 8 weeks from now I will be sadly packing up my and moving excitedly into the unknown, literally, as we still aren't sure where we are heading. I'm not sure what that means for this blog ... maybe I will continue writing 'the memories of a govie' or maybe I will start a blog about the new chapter of my ... our lives. However until then it is still business as usual ... enjoying station life.

  1. So exciting and such wonderful news, but at the same time sad that you are leaving the station. Very mixed emotions must be going on.

  2. Yes very mixed but it is time to, in my boss's words, "have your (my) own life" and I can't wait really as sad as it will be to leave.
