Down the River

One week and two days, that is how long it took to hit that ugh, ugly, glum, low, stage.
I haven't been in the best place today and should have gotten out of the house but instead I applied for jobs. I've been so enjoying those rejection emails too but on the up side, at least they are a reply which is better than no reply.

Anyway, because I needed to look at something relaxing and pretty and natural this is for me, and for you.

This is Mr Sparky's favourite place to go on the tablelands (private property, sorry). It is his relax place, his after a hard days work place, his great place to swim in summer. I think I'm just a bit hooked on it too.

So time to refresh and relax and to worry about it tomorrow.

I'm feeling better now, I hope you are feeling refreshed as well.

I think I'll find a nice place to go tomorrow.

  1. Very lush and such abundance of scenery to take your mind off today's lows. You are so right - getting a rejection is far better than false hope that comes with hearing nothing. Best regards to better news in the near future.

    1. Yes, it is better to know than not know. I'm not having much luck so far though. I love the greenness and lushness of the Atherton Tablelands. So much prettiness everywhere.

    1. It is nice and always cool on a hot summers day. Thank you! The person is my other half, Mr Sparky, relaxing by the river and having a snack.

  5. it seem too narrow to take a swim. But I´ll take your word for it. It is a very fine place :)

    1. We usually swim in the wider part and it is probably wider than it looks. There are some good rocks to sit on in the water and it is usually fairly deep. It is good for cooling off on a hot day.

    1. It is a lovely place. Most of that area would have been under rainforest at one time but a lot has been cleared. It is good that there are still gems like this area everywhere though. Thanks for looking in.
