Vlog from the Beach

I must confess I had no idea what a vlog was until another blogger that I follow shared a delish one showing us the merits of chocolate. Basically it is a video blog.

I have posted a couple of videos of here before so after finding out what this fancy smancy 'vlog' name means I can almost say I've done it before (without the talking) when I posted this one.

Anyway, so here goes my first real vlog with talking and all. It is just me being me and rambling, just a bit.

Have you ever noticed that your recorded voice sounds nothing like what you think your voice sounds like?

I Must Confess

  1. Thank you for taking me with you on your morning walk! You are so lucky to live somewhere so beautiful! Yes I have noticed that my voice sounds nothing like I think it sounds when I hear it recorded. That is one of the many reasons that I have never done a vlog! :-)

    1. @Min ... No problem, I am glad you enjoyed coming along. It is beautiful but it took me a bit to appreciate how lucky I am to live here. Maybe it is the different voice that makes it so interesting. Thanks for coming by.

  2. I've attempted a couple of vlogs but none were fit for publication. Love your morning walk.

    1. @Mystery Case ... That is a pity. I put no planning into this but rather just rambled like normal. Thanks!

  3. Nice vlog. Looks like an introverts dream to walk along that lovely deserted beach. Yes, my recorded voice sounds like I'm a 12 year old girl with all the enthusiasm of a vodka-soaked slug on valium. You sound good!

    1. @Ness ... You might have that right, maybe that is why I like my quiet beach walks. Usually there are a few more people around but it is never crowded early in the morn. Love you voice description, gave me a giggle. I've always had a deep voice. My mother says my cry, as a baby, was easy to ignore because of how deep it was. Thanks for dropping in.

  5. Woohoo for the vlog and boo to how our voices sound on video. I know I hate how nasal I sound!

    1. @Kirsty ... Thanks! I think I sound really posh on video rather than my normal Aussie self. It isn't that I hate it, it is just weird.

  6. I'm wondering if that word has made it to the dictionary yet. It is a new one for me!

    1. @Rebecca ... I'd say probably not but I should request it. Isn't it funny how there are all these words we make up or use that aren't 'real' words.

  7. I could do with walking on the beach right now. It looks wonderful and I bet it isn't as cold as our beaches at the moment! Awesome to hear your voice, you sound lovely x

    1. @Alicia ... Well I hope you make the time for a nice walk, even though it is winter. It is wonderful and the water is a good temp. I should actually go swimming. Glad you enjoyed listening in. I swear my voice doesn't sound as polished in my head. Thanks!

  8. BLESS - that was sooo cool to hear your actual voice, which I love. And those waves, love it when the 7th wave got your knees. Hope it's not stinger season up there! Thanks for getting soaked for us - Em x

    1. @Emily ... Thanks! I think it sounds weird and rather posh compared to what I think it sounds like. There is something to that 7th wave thing isn't there. No it isn't stinger season, it is the 'safe' time to swim, luckily. Shouldn't be crocs either despite my comment. They move around in about Nov. No problem on the getting soaked part, it certainly wasn't a hardship but it was a good thing there was a towel in the car.
