Friday morning, the morning of my last day of vacation care, I decided to enjoy the sunrise.
I thought I'd head up the hill ... close to home and a view I don't make use of enough, well not at that time of day.
I should have left home earlier but I ummed and ahhed for a bit because I had to go to work.
I have been looking after the school aged kids during their school holidays in the daycare center I work. It has certainly been a full on two weeks and one which I'm not sure I would have come out entirely sane without the lovely bus driver/ partner in child minding crime I had for most days. She was my bit of adult company. It was fun though and we were here, there and everywhere for the two weeks.
Crazy me was also doing my night work. I survived though.
And now even crazier me has agreed to a split shift tomorrow. The first starts at 5am for four or five hours and the next at 8pm for four hours. It is going to be a long day. At least I will have time for a nap.
So my morning lookout on Friday was on the Lake Morris Road or Copperlode Dam Road.
The golden light of the sunrise light the city up.
It also turned that waterfall near there into a golden falls. If only it was gold ... the things we could do with that.
It was surprisingly quiet up there. Usually I am up there in the evening and there are many people riding and walking up the hill along with the lazy sunset watchers like me who drive up.
Winter is looking good.
I was in shorts and a t-shirt and didn't even feel anything close to chilly.
Definitely the tropics.
Actually, winter has been very ... not winter like at all, even for here.
After my sunrise viewing I was ready to take on the day.
I am hoping to get out and about a little more this coming week.
I've decided I should put a house right in this spot so I can enjoy the view all the time. What do you think? I'm sure no one will mind if I take over the lookout and road.
I hope you've been having a great weekend and ...
have a great week!
Thanks for sharing the amazing colors of your world; they entrance and intrigue.
ReplyDeleteThank you for coming by to look!
DeleteSure, set up camp there and see what happens, (:. Love the cobweb, looks like one of the many adorning my porch. Oy, how do you do it all, sounds exhausting and yet you can take time to snap some gorgeous photos. The waterfall pictures are spectacular, I think you got the best time of day.
ReplyDeleteI am pretty sure it wouldn't last long if I did.
DeleteMy work schedule is a bit exhausting ... I get through it somehow. Then I get days with little or no work so I can do things I like.
Thank you! I do love the golden light of sunrise!
Wow lovely photos
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful sunrise and golden light! Your winter sounds wonderful
ReplyDeleteThank you! Winter is pretty mild here but then we pay for that in Summer with the heat and humidity.
DeleteFabulous photos of the sunrise time. I’m especially impressed by the waterfall enveloped in the golden light. Almost divine! Your work shift doesn’t look healthy even if you’re young. I hope you can have a nap comfortably.

Thank you! It was very pretty and golden. I would love to go back to one job all the time. The good thing is I do get days off to do things I like.
DeleteI love your waterfall shots - so peaceful looking in those woods.
ReplyDeleteThank you! Hard to believe this waterfall is right on the edge of a road and the edge of a mountain.
DeleteHello, gorgeous series of sunrise images. The golden color is lovely. Happy Monday, enjoy your new week!
ReplyDeleteThank you! Have a great week!
DeleteWow, You are working crazy hours! As long as the pay is good! Gorgeous views, and each so different! Love the waterfall, the sunrise, and the spiderweb n the sunshine is very unusual! Many, many thanks for taking out time to catch these for SEASONS! Have a happy week (and rest well!) and hope to see you back soon.
ReplyDeleteVery crazy but only for a short time ... although normal is pretty crazy too. The pay for both is minimum wage, hence the need for both. I sometimes have days with no work so it all pans out. I love joining in with Seasons when I can and seeing what it looks like in other's places. Have a great week!
DeleteCan't see if my comment got through -I'll check back tonight -Just want you to know the views are awesome and so happy you shared them with SEASONS!
ReplyDeleteSo glad that your day started with a beautiful sunrise. The golden falls is gorgeous! Thanks for sharing your wonderful photos and thanks for visiting my blog!
ReplyDeleteLove that spider web. Thanks for commenting on my blog--I would love to live in a place where I could have a brightly colored door!

It's worth getting up for such a beautiful sunrise, isn't it?! You are one busy lady -- I wish I had your energy! And you fit in time for photography, too! You inspire me!
ReplyDeleteSunrise is my favorite time of day. But sunset isn't too shabby either!
ReplyDeleteStunning morning ... Worth waking up early for (tho I can't imagine how you have that much energy when you're working, especially with kids). I definitely think you should build your house there ;))). We have done that kind of "planning" all of our married life ... We own imaginary castles in some amazing places!
